Laser Skin Tag Removal

Skin tags can be quickly and easily removed using our Luxar CO2 laser. Click here for details.

This laser produces a very thin, highly-focused beam of infrared light. Everything it strikes is vaporized. The depth of penetration of the beam can be adjusted from about one cell layer (10 microns) to about a quarter of a millimeter (250 microns). The laser takes 10 to 20 tiny bites per second off the skin tag, strategically removing it one thin layer at a time with minimal damage to surrounding tissue, minimizing the risk of scarring.

In most cases only one treatment is required. In a typical ten to fifteen minute session, a dozen or more skin tags can be removed depending on their size. Sessions are up to 25 minutes, so you have to have a lot of skin tags to require more than one session.

The CO2 laser carries no risk of cancer what-so-ever. The wavelength of light used is in the infrared range, which is safe. This is at the opposite end of the spectrum from ultraviolet, x-rays, and gamma rays which are all capable of causing cancer.

You may experience some slight discomfort during the procedure, but nothing that can't be easily managed. Local anesthetic is used for larger skin tags.

Our knowledgeable and experienced staff can help you with your skin tags today.
